Food for Fines

(April 12, 2010) This week the library is accepting donations of non-perishable food items in exhange for overdue fines that you may have accumulated.  All food collected will be given to the Minerva Salvation Army for distribution to local food pantries. The rate of exhange is one can of soup, boxed prepared meal, bag of rice, etc. for $1 in fines. This food drive is part of our Communities Thrive @ Your Library celebration, and we will gratefully accept any additional food donations to aid the local pantries.
