(September 29,2015) The Civil War was fought on hundreds of battlefields between the 1861 and 1865. This conflict resulted in the deaths of more than 700,000 Americans. During the war, as well as after, paranormal occurrences were recorded by soldiers and civilians alike. Join us in the Community Meeting Room on Monday, October 5, at 7:00 pm as area historian Harold George tells “Ghost Stories of the American Civil War.” A Civil War re-enactor and author, with over 25 years of experience presenting programs on the War, Mr. George will share contemporary ghostly tales as well as some of his own first-hand paranormal experiences while visiting Civil War battlefields. Additional insight is provided into 19th century burial practices. This program will fascinate and astound all ages: it’s free and no registration is required.
