(October 15, 2009) The library has set up wish lists at Amazon.com and would appreciate your help in purchasing materials for everyone to check out and enjoy. Because of the dramatic decline in library funding this year, the Minerva Public Library has cut its spending severely. Since the end of July, we have relied only on donated money and book sale proceeds to pay for newly-published, high-demand, library books, DVDs, audiodbooks, and other materials, and have nothing left now to replace worn-out copies or buy older titles that you would find interesting. There are three different wish lists for you to select from: Children's Non-fiction, Cook Books, and Classics. Amazon sells most of the titles on these lists at a substantial discount, and most qualify for free shipping, so you can stretch the value of your donation. We appreciate your support.
