(February 6, 2012) Join us this Saturday, February 11, for an afternoon of astronomy excitement. At 2:30, Dr. Judith VanZante from the NASA Glenn Research Center will give a virtual tour of the Icing Research Tunnel, one of the largest icing facilities in the world, and a place most of us will never see in person. At 3:30 join Joann Ballbach from the Wilderness Center to discover
"Things you know about astronomy that just aren't so, " a lively and informative talk especially fun for kids. At 4:30, Professors Bob Sudomir and Tom Freeland from Walsh University will take us on a tour of the winter sky at night using some nifty planetarium software to show the sky on the walls. Weather permitting, about 5:30 we will then head outside to look through some big telescopes and see what we can see.
