A major part of the Union military effort there was the unlikely, ungainly, but powerful fleet of river warships that helped Grant, Sherman and others win victories and fame.Join us this Tuesday, March 18, as William F.B. Vodrey presents an exciting talk about the Civil War on the Mississippi that will interest all ages. This program is one of several the Library has scheduled to complement the traveling exhibit Ohio and the Civil War: 150 Years Later hosted by the library through March 26.
