(June 7, 2011) Local author Wayne Vinson will visit the library Monday, June 13, from 5:00-8:00 pm to meet interested readers and sign copies of his new book Tax Collectors and Other Sinners. Mr. Vinson's novel is a thrilling tale of violence and intrigue with a lot of local flavor, and he will have copies of the book for sale. Now retired, the author was for many years the federal tax collection supervisor for several counties in Northeast Ohio, and he makes good use of his experiences in his book. At 7:00 pm, Mr.
(June 1, 2011) Good news for folks who access the Internet on library computers. We have replaced all 15 public computers with newer, faster machines. The computers run an Intel 2.1 Ghz, core duo processor with 2 gigabytes of RAM, and all public computers now have Microsoft Office 2010. The library is very pleased to provide this vast improvement over the motley assortment of computers patrons had been using for some time now, including 7 computers that were around ten years old. (May 25, 2011) The library has purchased a Kill A Watt EZ portable electric meter that will show you the operating costs of each of your electrical appliances and electronic devices. It's easy to use and may be checked out for a week at a time.
(May 24, 2011) The library will be closed on Monday, May 30, in observance of Memorial Day. No library materials are due on days that the library is closed.
(April 25, 2011) Thanks to everyone who shopped the library's spring book sale and found something interesting to buy. Total proceeds are $1,092 which will be used to purchase new materials this year for you to check out and enjoy. Thanks also to the many generous patrons who donated materials to the library for the book sale and made the selection that much more interesting.

(March 29, 2011) The library's spring book sale begins Friday, April 8, at 10:00 and runs through Saturday, April 16. This year we will have a good assortment of children's books for sale, along with the usual wide of books for all ages and interests, and some VHS and DVDs. The last day of the sale, Saturday, April 16, is the ever-popular $1-a-bag sale day. The book sale is open all the hours the library is open, and new items are added every day. (March 27, 2011) Library patrons may wonder how the current struggle to balance Ohio’s next biennium budget will affect library funding. On March 15, the Governor sent his proposed budget to the Legislature. It includes a reduction in the amount of money sent to the Public Library Fund during the two years of the next biennium budget, July 2011—June, 2013.
