Minerva Public Library is an independent library serving Stark, Carroll, and Columbiana county residents.
Mission Statement: The mission of the Minerva Public Library is to fulfill the educational, recreational, intellectual, social, and cultural needs of its patrons by offering open and equitable access to information and services. The library will enhance the quality of life in the Minerva community and serve as a life-long center of learning.
Policies
Library policies are approved by the Board of Trustees acting upon the advice of the library administration. Library staff then develop procedures and practices to carry out the policies. Below are policies you may find most interesting, as well as link to the complete set of service policies.
Getting a Library Card
Who can get a Minerva Public Library Card?
Persons residing, owning property, working, or attending school, in Ohio are eligible, with proper identification, to register for a library card.
How do I sign up?
Patrons may visit any service desk at the library. At this time, the library does not have online library card registration.
Check-Out Limits; Fines and Fees
For how long may I check out library materials?
- All books, audiobooks, music CDs, and children's kits--2 weeks (14 days)
- DVDs, Videogames, and magazines--1 week.(7 days)
- Framed art prints--8 weeks (56 days)
How many times may these materials be renewed?
One renewal is equal in length to the item's normal check-out period. Materials may be renewed within the limits listed below, if no other patrons have placed a hold on that item.
