In Organic We Trust--Monday, 7:00 pm

Join us Monday, October 24, for the final movie in our farm to table documentary series.  Most Americans now purchase organic food in some form, but don’t know what “organic” really means. In Organic We Trust  follows filmmaker Kip Pastor on a journey to answer the essential questions about organic: What exactly is certified organic? Is it really better for us, or just marketing hype? Is organic the key to transforming our food system?  Thjis 80 minute movie is shown for free and is suitable for all ages.

Monster Movie Monday, October 31--6:00 and 7:15pm

Make your Halloween extra spooky with a classic monster movie double feature.   At 6:00 pm, Victor Frankenstein decides to create a perfect man. One abnormal brain later and there's trouble afoot.  It all ends in a burning windmill.  Or does it?  At 7:15, the creature returns, and he'd like a bride.  Angry villagers, lightning, the sinister Dr. Pretorious, exciting chases, and more.   Both movies are shown free of charge in glorious black and white, and are fun for all ages.

Library Closed for Thanksgiving

The library closes at 5:00 pm on Wednesday, November 23, and will be closed all day on Thursday, November 24, in observance of the Thanksgiving holiday.  The library will be open from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm on Friday and Saturday, November 25 and 26.  No library materials are due on any day that the library is closed.

Tax Forms at the Library

It's time to think about 2016 taxes.   The library has the instruction books and basic return forms for the Federal 1040A, and 1040EZ returns; the library is out of the Federal 1040 instruction book.  The library is out of Ohio instruction booklets for free distribution, but does have copies of the instructions available to to check out.  The Ohio Department of Taxation does not provide the return forms for free distribution, but the library does have master copies of the Ohio return forms at the service desk that you may use to photocopy forms for yourself.   Almost all Federal tax  forms, instructions, and publications may be downloaded and printed from https://www.irs.gov/forms-pubs.   Likewise, Ohio tax forms and instructions may be downloaded and printed from http://www.tax.ohio.gov .  Tax forms and instructions provided by the IRS or ODT for distribution are available at no charge.   The library charges 10 cents a page for photocopies or for printing from the internet.
